On Friday morning, the NHL DoPS announced that Roy would face a hearing later today. That prompted the boys to wonder whether he would be suspended for one game or if getting kicked out in overtime was enough of a punishment.
Changing gears, we examined what the Oilers need to do in Game 3 to ensure they maintain the momentum. While Edmonton managed to win <a href="https://publish.oilersnation.com/2025/05/08/game-recap-highlights-oilers-beat-golden-knights-overtime-take-series-lead/">Game 2</a>, one can argue that the team was fortunate to pull out the victory, given the numerous mistakes made and the Golden Knights&#8217; strong performance. If they&#8217;re going to kick off their games at home with another win, Edmonton will need to do a much better job on the small details of their game. Put another way, it would be really lovely if Calvin Pickard didn&#8217;t have to bail the boys out as often as he has been.
