The Edmonton Oilers have traded defenceman Joel Persson to the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for a conditional seventh-round draft pick in 2022 and goaltender Angus Redmond.

Persson&#8217;s trade was first reported by TSN&#8217;s Tom Gazzola.
The Oilers signed Persson, 25, this off-season to a one year contract. He appeared in 13 games for the Oilers scoring two assists before being assigned to the AHL&#8217;s Bakersfield Condors.
There, Persson has appeared in 27 games scoring three goals and 13 assists.
Redmond 24, has spent his season playing for the ECHL&#8217;s Newfoundland Growlers where he&#8217;s posted a 13-0-0 record and a .918 save percentage. He was signed to an entry-level contract by the Ducks on in March 2017.
According to OilersNation&#8217;s Jason Gregor, Redmond will remain in Newfoundland.
The condition on the pick requires Persson to play in 25 NHL games next season.
